o So…I didn’t know what to expect when I came to Germany however, berlin was nothing like I expected. When on the bus tour, walking tour and boat tour through Dresden, I was like this is what I expected. Quant and cute small German town. The architecture was detailed and beautiful and there were three castles! I could see myself living in Dresden because its like a suburb and so nice. People definitely bike everywhere! I tried this cherry and crème pastry and it was almost refreshing it was quite good. I also tried pistachio gelato which was refreshing and tasted like the nuts not fake almond extract. Also for dinner ate some really flavorful and fresh Asian food (noodles with chicken). In Dresden it seemed like every building had a purpose and was old and some big event happened there. There was a ton of cathedrals everywhere which were so intricate and gorgeous inside and out. We saw this cool wall with a painting that looked backwards but it was actually normal and it was something about princes. The town was cool but did seem a bit touristy. Also went to this little shop that had these little pictures on each piece of tile and it was on all the walls and ceiling. It kind of reminded me the good bakery on the way to Mammoth, CA. It was SUPER hot and hard to handle and pay attention especially when the tour guide spoke but it was really pretty! The train ride was ridiculously long and slow but it was fun sitting next to my friends.
