My mind is lost in another world, that world that I left behind, the world brimming with color, vibrance, history, tragedy, love, violence, science, engineering and life. That world was Berlin. I struggled and struggled when I first returned home with accepting the new me. The changed me. Then over time it has gotten slightly easier. I still think of my days in Berlin and how amazing the experience was. I recollect my memories and all that I learned about myself, the world and Wars. One thing for sure was how the names Einstein and Gauss were said or found in many places throughout the city. It also helped that I was actually studying at the same University as Einstein.
Funny thing is, now being back home at my University I still hear their names. The only difference is, we are discussing the actual laws they discovered and understood. Learning about them and all of their hard work which resulted in helpful discoveries. The other day I almost forgot I was back home as my professor kept mentioning Einstein and his works and then we learned about Gauss and his. So for a second, I was back, back to the world of Berlin. The world I barely knew but yearned to learn much more. Now being back home, I am having the opportunity to learn more about Einstein and Gauss, who they were and the legacy they left behind. Berlin is the connecting puzzle piece and engineering seems to be the answer key.
