We hiked Ein Gedi, floated in the dead, rode cable-cars up Masada and ate dinner in Jerusalem. We reflected on how the trip affected our lives. We sang all the way to the airport. The best part was it was christmas but felt like a normal day. It was nice to not have lights everywhere or trees or sales. It was nice for it to be a normal day and for us to be able to do anything and not have to go out of our way to only go to the movies or eat Chinese food. It was refreshing and I wasn’t the only one who felt this way.
It was weird saying bye to everyone and yet, staying behind.
