After Shabbat ended and we sang some rousing songs to welcome the new week. We watched a movie about the life of Michael Levin, an American who moved to Israel and fought and died for Israel. It was very heartwarming and one of the other group leaders actually knew this guy. It also hits home when the soldiers stand up when asked who has lost someone they knew while serving in the IDF. It hits home hard and fast. Here are these young adults, the same age as me and they live a very different life. They protect their homeland for many reasons but loosing someone you love due to the battles….I can’t even imagine. My hearts go out to all who serve in the IDF.
